Mech D&C was incorporated in 2004 providing gas fitting and plumbing services for the Cairns Region.

A combined industry experience of the directors of 38 years gives us a good grounding necessary to operate a successful expanding business.

The directors of Mech D&C take pride in every installation we perform, and maintain this attitude with our team of skilled tradesman.

Mech D&C are proud of our local involvement with the Hotel and accomodation industry and value our relationships with customers through service and maintenance agreements.

A brief outline of our business directors:

Shaun Mckay - 21 years experience in the gas industry covering various roles including operations management, engineering, mechanical fitter and certified welder.

Experience in Industrial project design and management, LPG Terminaling Facilities, LPG Liquid Installs and burner sets up to 50 GJ/HR.

A Fitter / Welder by trade completing the Advanced Gas Licence in 1992. 

Shaun is also a member of the Queensland Gas Association and is a certifier of gas appliances under this scheme.

Aaron Rushton - Plumber / Drainer by trade with experience in commercial, industrial plumbing and gas heating systems.  Aaron also holds licenses for air conditioning and refrigeration.

Aaron is an integral part of Mech D&C and provides project management and estimating services to the business
